Warstride Challenges Review (valentin)

Q: What is the game like?
The game offers a series of levels you have to run through against the timer. Along the way, you kill enemies, press buttons, and perform various tricks. The better you do, the better medal they give you at the end. There are also secrets in those levels
Q: Is it challenging?
Well, it is supposed to be. It's unlikely to frustrate you though, Bronze medals barely require any effort. For the highest reward, you have to try hard. There are also global leaderboards to show you how bad you are
Q: What's the overall quality of the game (graphics, UI, sound design, attention to detatils, game balance, bugs, etc)?
It's next to perfect, honestly. It still requires some minor polishing here and there, but yeah, everything just works as intended
Q: What's the best thing about the game?
It is an old-school arena shooter that combines the charm of the genre's pioneers with fresh ideas and modern graphics
Q: What could stop me from buying the game?
The announcer isn't even halfway as epic as Quake 3's
Seriously though, the only nitpick I could come up with is level shortness. There are about 200 levels, 20 seconds short on average. I'd prefer vice versa, 20 levels 200 seconds short. Like, imagine an F1 race with just one lap? Not as satisfying to complete them as it could possibly be
Q: So, what would be the final recommendation?
Probably not a masterpiece but an extremely well-crafted 9/10 game strongly recommended for anyone who likes first-person shooters (as opposed to first-person walkers and dialogue readers)
