TheHunter: Call of the Wild - German Shorthaired Pointer Review (Park)

I own all of the rest of the DLC in this game, including the other two dog DLCs. This is the first DLC I have bought for this game that I genuinely did not like and won't use until it is changed.
The dog finding animals is very inconsistent. There have been several times where I asked it to find large game, and it literally ran right PASSED a herd of buffalo that was ~100m out and continued to run another 200m out for no reason. I got the dog up to max level, but the additional perks you get don't really make up for the dog straight up missing entire herds of animals. The distance at which it starts pointing at an animal is also inconsistent, which makes it hard to tell the exact location of an animal in dense forest or jungle. The dog also brings large game to the "alert" state when it starts pointing and barking at them, which makes them harder to sneak up on.
If you have all dog DLCs, you have give dogs two jobs, but the secondary job you give them cannot have any relevant perks to that job. It can only have perks for the first job it came with. Therefor, the pointer can never be as good at retrieving or tracking as the other two dogs.
It is not a terrible DLC, but it's not near as useful or consistent as the other two dog DLCs in my opinion. In it's current state, I would rather use the bloodhound DLC and have tracking be easier when hunting anything class 2 and above. I definitely won't be using this dog regularly.
