The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Review (bubbascal)
Dying game that may be discontinued in a few months with major potential ruined by a company that is arguably worse than Dead by Daylight's BHVR in every way.
Gun Media, a publishing company that "develops" through outsourcing labor and (unfortunately), being the main visionaries behind major design choices for games, is drowning in controversy after controversy, all starting from years ago and never ceasing to make new ones. To name a few for just THIS game in the past... year or so, and ever since launch:
-P2W+overpriced characters that they take incredibly long to nerf appropriately
-CEO Wes Keltner and "Brand Lead" acting like children and directly arguing with the community over stupid things like basic feedback and calling critics "Karens" (then doubling down when called out)
-overpriced and lackluster cosmetics (with very pathetic excuses like "HISTORICAL ACCURACY" that were thrown out by the newest cosmetic set, which is bikinis that they said would NEVER happen)
-consistently buggy patches, launching P2W characters with gigantic bugs that made progression almost impossible (Virginia) then NOT making official announcements that they were bugged for weeks despite multiple Reddit posts from community managers saying they were notified (most likely to not hurt sales)
-NOT listening to the community and refusing multiple long awaited requests on stream even VERY simple requests
-they (most likely the CEO Wes because of how he frequently posts about songs he listens to, and how he's apparently a "Game Designer" too) were focused on assembling Spotify playlists for "what each Victim would listen to" when the community wanted answers on when major bugs would be fixed
-going on gigantic breaks directly after launching BIG patches, with the playerbase being left with huge bugs and new characters so strong that they ruin the game for weeks and cause massive controversy (Danny and Nancy in December 2023, then going on break for THREE(!!!) weeks, then the CEO MOCKING the community for criticizing the decision to push a major patch right before going on a gigantic break
They also have a criminal history of selling Kickstarter-exclusive codes on eBay, breaking Kickstarter promises, and successfully getting sued by Tom Savini, which should tell you all you need to know. This is somehow the same publisher that made Friday the 13th: The Game by the way.
Gun Media. Remember their name, listen to the CRITICS, avoid any and all products made by them.
