The Smurfs 2: The Prisoner of the Green Stone Review (D13GO_{HoF})
When I saw the screenshots, I thought it will be the same game as the first with a different weapon and different smurfs to used. I was wrong for the most part.
The Smurfs 2 feels like the first game in Visual with some upgrades on textures and Story. but added a couple of things that makes it different, first Movement, in the original, you can only "run" and jump at the start, the rest of the movement was unlocked later on. ( Dash,glide and stomp).
Now you can do all from the start, except glide, also added a sprint state where they move faster than the original, this make the game have a faster filling, BUT, it can affect during platforming, but not much.
Lastly each smurf have a unique skill to make them different to play.
For the weapon, the Smurfomix is different to the Smurfizer where the mix is a ranged weapon with different powerups that you get in the levels, that gives different attacks and effects, this make combat faster and no need to get in melee range all the time, unless you want.
The music in Smurfs 2 went a different way comparing to the orginal, going to more of a adventure vibe instead of ambient, due to the action segments, and it is a more memorable soundtrack.
Level Length is strange, this game felt shorter compare to the original but some levels feel longer and their design was more linear with the chance of hide secrets or crystal to clear(background ones count too)
In my opinion, Smurfs 2 is a better game than the original but it felt shorter comparing to the first game but it also improve from it. Play it if you played the original.
