RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic Review (Sir Bob Von Fenwick)
I bought this game on sale as I love the old RCT games and heard that they upscaled the textures to make it look more modern. It is a fantastic looking game that takes both RCT and RCT2 and combines them into what I would consider one of the best looking RCT games... Is what I would say if this game didn't have many glaring issues with it.
First things first this is a port of a mobile game, Which wouldn't be a issue of the if the changed the UI of the game for the P.C. release... it is absolute trash. It is a pain to use if you are used to RCT or RCT2.
Second and a major issue I found is that if the icons within menus not showing up. I spend a good 2 hours trying to fix this and it seems to have to do with newer GPUs, especially those of AMD. I tried playing without them but it is to hard to do so you would have to hover above every menu option or just guess what Ride, Attraction, or Tab you are clicking.
I love the only RCT games but this is not it. It looks stunning but the cons I could not recommend it. I would recommend that you buy RCT Deluxe and RCT2 as both are cheaper combined then this game. If you are looking for a RCT modern style game then I recommend Parkitect.
