Pool Slide Story Review (RoxyWolf)
If you're familiar with Kairosoft's other games, this one is most comparable to Zoo Park Story in how it plays. SNS messages, building-by-night, and so on. I would say that this one felt particularly slow to get started, it took a few hours to really get into its groove -- and even now that I've hit the endgame, there are some things with progression which I find frustrating (twice per year, you have the opportunity to take on one of various challenges, and if you succeed, you will unlock a new Thing. If you fail... you have to wait two more seasons to try again. Sometimes the prompts are vague, and the reasons for winning/failing aren't always clear. As a system, more than anything else, it's just a bit annoying.)
As you can see from my playtime, the Kairosoft Effect did eventually get its hooks in me! My eyes hurt. It is 7am. Many such cases. But despite being enamored with the theme, this one just doesn't quite hit for me, which is a shame! This one is definitely one to get on sale, if you decide to get it at all.
