Loddlenaut Review (SomeHumbleOnion)
A charming, cozy, relaxing exploration game with great progression and resource collecting!!
Loddlenaut first captured me with its art style. This game takes the low-poly aesthetic to a whole different level and amplifies it with beautiful lighting, particle effects, and the pixelation effect always adds a nice touch (but is optional!)
The gameplay reeled me in even more after playing the demo during Steam's Next Fest. The full release is a LOT bigger than I was expecting! And all of the gameplay feels so fluid. From the movement, to the cleaning mechanics. Everything is satisfying to do! I highly recommend playing with a controller to get the rumble effect on all the cleaning tools, it just adds to the game juice and I LOVE it.
I'm not even halfway through the game yet, but I think I've seen enough to write a review and say that I HIGHLY recommend picking this one up. If you're a fan of cozy games, cleaning sims, pet sims, exploration games, etc, you will definitely enjoy Loddlenaut. Even if you don't normally play these types of games, I think Loddlenaut is a great game to take a break with. I've personally been playing tons of Risk of Rain 2 lately, which is as fast paced as it gets. So winding down my evenings with this game is PERFECT and I can't wait to keep exploring this beautifully crafted underwater world <3
