My Score: 9,5/10
Prologue
The oceans, the great wet and deep blue, home to a vast variety of animals, plants and other wonders, origin of beauty and legends, but even such a large place can need help, especially when humans end up polluting it and it ends up falling on us to clean the waters, whether on Earth, or even in the future on other planets, as is the case of this planet where our story takes place. ^^
Somewhere in the future, humanity developed the ability to travel efficiently in space and colonize other planets, including a small and peaceful ocean planet, populated by peaceful and cute creatures called loddles who lived their lives peacefully. Unfortunately, everything changed when the planet became the property of the GUPPI company, which began to exploit this calm ocean in search of resources and without any responsibility, polluting the waters with garbage, building on the former habitat of the loddles and leading to an oil spill that contaminated everything, and now someone needs to clean it up. ^^
Pros:
+An incredibly relaxing and fun game, I actually lost track of time while playing.
+Simple and easy to understand mechanics, allowing you to focus on exploration.
+Various environments to explore, as well as plants and animals to discover.
+The Ioddles, cute and peaceful little creatures that start out small but can evolve and change into various forms depending on how you feed them, each form having its own ability.
+Nothing really goes to waste, all the trash we collect is converted into resources for improvements.
+Cute and colorful graphics in all locations of the game.
+A very relaxing soundtrack.
Cons:
-Even with the update, unfortunately I found the game short, I would love it if there were more environments and things to explore.
Game mechanics
Here we are, the player in the role of an unnamed underwater worker, but with the help of his trusty cleaning laser, having to complete the important task of cleaning all the environments of this beautiful aquatic planet, recovering both the local flora and fauna. It will not be an easy task, as the GUPPI employees really left a huge mess of both garbage and oil, fortunately their trash literally becomes our treasure, thanks to recycling technology, we can literally convert all the trash found, into useful materials for acquiring improvements in the equipment. ^^
These improvements will be very useful because with each environment the challenge increases, whether in size or even in the types of trash, with some being mandatory for certain types of pollution while others make cleaning faster and more efficient. But all the effort is worth it, especially to be able to bring back the true owners of the place, the loddles, totally peaceful little creatures that as we clean, they begin to reveal themselves, at first small and round, but as we clean and they have food again, they begin to grow and, depending on what they eat, develop variations, some develop antennas and whiskers like catfish, others fins that look like stingrays, and others even grow small tentacles like octopuses, with each form having unique abilities and can come in various colors, making it an excellent incentive for exploration and experimentation. ^^
Art and sound
Produced by the Moon Lagoon studio, I must say that I was really impressed by the graphics, in my opinion they fit perfectly with the game's theme, of a more relaxing exploration of the seabed of an alien planet while we clean, and especially highlight the creatures, the loddles in their great variety of cute shapes and colors that we can find. The soundtrack also deserves to be highlighted and much praised, throughout the game it was extremely pleasant to listen to and relaxing, I really liked it. ^^
Conclusion
Loddlenaut was a very pleasant surprise for me. I bought it a few days ago while it was on sale and before I knew it I had already devoured the game and done everything it had to offer and still wanted more, to the point that I was so focused on the game that when I looked at the clock it was already five in the morning. Well, I don't think I need to say more about how much I found this game, very fun and relaxing, and I would love for it to have even more to explore, so here I leave my extremely strong recommendation, to everyone who likes a good adventure game, exploration, relaxing games and cute creatures. ^^
