Hollow Survivors Review (SyprusFenix)

Alright, first and foremost, I've played at least 10 hours of this game back when it was just the beta and then the Prologue. It was fun even when only about 1/3 of the game was available and we'd just try to get as far as we could in infinite mode. Now the game is fully out and so much more has been added to it!

This game does a solid job of falling somewhere in between Hades and Vampire Survivors, but still feels like its own thing, and not just another lifeless clone of a successful game. The combat is snappy and feels good right away. It draws you in and makes you want to do another level, and another. Now there are more spells and weapons to try, and they all feel really good in their own different ways!

I will note that there are likely still some balance issues, but the dev (Danny Deer) is super open to feedback, and is always active in his discord channel. He's put a lot of time into this game and he will continue to do balance patches and things to make this game really shine.

Honestly, I've more than gotten my money's worth with this game and will continue to put more hours into it. I highly recommend this game as a nice challenging, quick paced, hack and slash with fun roguelite elements. Getting the right upgrade cards in a run makes you feel like a god as you're just dancing around the battlefield, deleting all the enemies with your powerful weapons and spells. And on the flip side, when you don't get the perfect cards the game doesn't feel bad. It just feels like a nice challenge that really tests your skills and reflexes.
