Greyhill Incident Review (LoveDumpster)

Right now, I'd give this game a "mixed", leaning on no. Hopefully the devs will read these reviews and fix some of their crap. Unfortunately, the bad outweighed the good, earning a negative review. I'm a huge lover of UFO lore and horror games so I gave it a go, and it was a big letdown. Get it on super sale, as in below $5.
Overall: Huge potential, huge letdown
The good:
-They absolutely nailed the atmosphere. I saw the UFO and I was hooked. Outstanding aesthetics, lighting, mood, etc.
-Setting was awesome. I absolutely love the classic gray alien. It felt very inspired by Signs and the X-Files
-They seem to actually follow a lot of UFO lore quite well
-Scares were good. Turning the corner to see a gray power walking towards you like an overweight suburban mom was pretty scary.
The bad:
-The actual encounter with the grays was pretty laughable. It's like getting chased by a power walking toddler
-The voice acting was pretty atrocious and all over the place
-Your character is either the fattest fucking chain smoking fat ass or the devs just did not give a shit about close encounters. You run for 5 seconds and then have to walk for 90. When you inevitably get got, you just button mash (which is hit or miss whether it actually works). Terrible a really terrible batting mechanic. You should be caving their skulls in, instead you give him a nice encouraging bonk every 10 seconds or so.
-Story is SHORT. You can probably complete the entire thing in under an hour.
-The probing trope was stupid. Spoiler: They're not going to stick a gigantic bloody metal dildo/buttplug up someones ass and leave it all over the town.
-The linear progression was kind of terrible. This game needs to be open world.
-Often times you get lost and have no idea what to do
-The stealth mechanic just sucks ass. It seems like there's just an autodetect once you're so close to a gray alien. Line of sight/noise needs to be better
-This game can't decide whether or not it wants to be a comedy or a horror game. This mixture is hard to right, and this game did it so, so wrong
-The writing and plot is comically bad, and the ending was deeply unsatisfying.
