Goblin Stone Review (chzydeath)
Update: After the latest update, I haven't encountered any major bugs, but still run into visual bugs here and there. The worst bug I've run into since the last update prevented me from opening any menus or screens (couldn't open the pause menu, map, or merchant menu). Force closing the game and restarting it solved that issue and haven't run into it since.
At this point, I'd say most of my complaints are w.r.t. balancing and the actual impact of traits and choices. I remember once hearing that "gamers will optimize the fun out of a game" and that feels like where a lot of the games problems lie. There are typically very obvious, if boring, traits to go with and as far as primary traits I don't think it's particularly difficult to just slowly keep raising all the stats of your goblins.

I've had a lot of fun playing, but it's really hard to recommend with the bugs it has currently. It would be one thing if they were minor/purely visual bugs, but the ones I've encountered have all been game breaking.
1. After losing a goblin to a dark alter, goblin randomly showed up in my party later in the adventure. After returning to base, the goblin had become duplicated with 1 having all 0 stats, no status and just stuck in my base and then the original goblin. Unfortunately, I was unable to dismiss either and when going to breed goblins they would break things further. Every time I scrolled up/down through the list of goblins, more and more goblins would randomly be marked as "dismissed" until every goblin was dismissed. I had to restart for it to reset things, but that was just temporary as they would eventually all end up "dismissed" again.
2. Random UI backgrounds getting stuck and blocking view of everything during adventures.
3. Saving is just entirely broken to a single state in time. No new saves are actually made. Like, at least give me an error message that saving failed, come on guys.
Overall, the bugs have left a pretty sour taste in my mouth, I'm sure I'll end playing more if the bugs are fixed, but definitely plan on avoiding this developer in the future
