Figment 2: Creed Valley Review (hvafaenculo)

I really wanted to like it, I liked the first one. But in here it was mostly frustrating and boring, with a ton of small annoying problems. Which is a shame because it had potential and I can see a lot of people worked hard on it. But after 15 minutes it is much more of a repetitive chore.
Pros:
+ music is good
Cons:
- no option to skip cutscenes, even in chapter select after beating the game
- chapter select resets all the shards for that level. Meaning that if you miss even one in normal playthrough, you need to replay the whole level again. Annoying especially with the cutscenes being unskippable
- the Jester isn't a good antagonist, not really able to carry the whole narrative. there's no real incentive to fight them, the only reason you do it is because the game tells you you should
- fighting is boring, enemies are annoying, and there's way too much of it, with waves after waves in some places, without a clear indication of how many waves are left
- the puzzles aren't really puzzles. When the clue is "sometimes you need to take one step forward and two steps back" and the solution is literally going one tile forward and two steps back, you can't call this a puzzle
- all the levels are basically the same. In the first game it was much more diverse. The perspective switch mechanism is nice, but it basically changes the colour pallette of every level in the same way so it's not really enough
- the plot doesn't really exist and feels forced and uninspired
