Dead by Daylight: Hellraiser Chapter Review (XIII - The Death)

Killer released with a lunge bug - dropping from elevation, random window hits, and other just normal elevation hits will suddenly not register or count. Sometimes you even feel yourself get repulsed backwards a set distance preventing you from getting an earned hit.
The killer's power is ridiculously tame, you lose almost as much time as you gain in most scenarios, meaning a miss is a huge time difference and a hit isn't as impactful as it should be.
Survivors can also break chains just running around a corner with barely any speed loss. Explain to me how someone with 3 hooks inside their body just rips them off by running around a tree or corner of a wall with zero meaningful impact on them. In a game with massive amount of corners and debris for loops, and some maps especially, this means even landing hits with your power does next to nothing for you.
His power revolving the box is completely outside of your control except specifically using the perks Hoarder and Franklin's, Hoarders being mandatory if you want to utilize this power at all. Survivors have a global range aura read on your box the minute the game starts - they aren't required to even try finding it. It's not difficult to manage the box for survivors at all, and repeated chain hunts that the box provides are basically required for this killer to find any meaningful success.
I wouldn't be surprised if BHVR were tone deaf enough to actually nerf the interactions with Hoarder just because it actually functions. People complain about Regression perks being too meta but every useful interaction that isn't part of that meta gets watered down or nerfed over time, like Lullaby Doctor, etc.
They also removed the very cool voice lines that originally debuted on the PTB, removing a massive amount of charm and cool factor for the killer.
Another weak release that is only saved by owning another DLC and farming up the perk to even have a baseline strategy to function, with all the wow factor deleted because of "an audio file bug". The killer is also bugged to not even confirm basic hits with the lunge - so buggy, incomplete, cool features removed, and reliant on another paid DLC perk to have realistic viable uses for their power.
You KNOW for a fact if a lunge bug equivalent existed for survivors it would be hotfixed within days, when it isn't even a paid DLC.
Can't recommend this until all the bugs are fixed, the killer is buffed, and we see how they handle the one useful perk synergy this killer has that isn't regression based.
The only use for a killer main would be acquiring dlc to dump bloodpoints for Deadlock or the other perks. The perks aren't awful.
