Borderlands 3: Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck Review (Fertilizer)

Worth playing, but not worth paying 15€ for. Get it on the season pass or a 50% sale.
Pros:
- The story is genuinely interesting and engaging
- the writing is among the best in the franchise, and avoids almost all the issues of BL3's storytelling: there's proper dramatic tension, jokes are dispensed appropriately, and the tone is consistent.
- the visuals, while structurally a rehash of the Claptastic Voyage DLC from Pre-Sequel, are properly impressive and dreamlike
Cons:
- recycling everywhere: recycled concepts, characters, themes, and _massive_ recycling of Borderlands 2 assets and enemies, a game that was 8 years old upon this DLC's release. Lazy, to put it lightly
- Most of the bosses are insane bullet sponges, each taking so long to kill that almost any entertainment value from the fights is lost, especially if you have to repeat attempts
- The sidequests are incredibly phoned in. Multiple sidequests literally consist of talking to one NPC and pushing a single button. I'm not joking.
- Massively reliant on nostalgia. If you didn't play through Borderlands 2 as Krieg, you're unlikely to care even a little bit about the story
In summation the core concept is executed very well, but it's marred by constant recycling of Borderlands 2, and incredibly thin side content.
