Arma 3 Creator DLC: S.O.G. Prairie Fire Review (Animal Xavier)
Great DLC, but Multiplayer is a Mixed Bag
Similar to vanilla Arma 3, S.O.G. Prairie Fire lacks a proper single-player experience, you need other players to truly enjoy it. The AI fireteam is frustratingly bad, making solo play nearly impossible.
There are a few active servers, and while some players are great, the experience gets ruined by COD-style Rambos and clueless teamkillers who don’t even recognize the difference between American and Vietnamese uniforms.
It’s a beautifully crafted DLC, but I stopped playing because it feels like I arrived too late to the party and the lack of a decent single player experience. If you’re okay with an unpredictable multiplayer experience, it might still be worth a shot.
I only give it a thumbs up for the intermittent good moments and the excellent people I met half the time there.
