The greatest Arma DLC.
The Good:
So much attention to detail for everything
Has historical stuff in it I've never seen or heard of before. Like the US army M54 Gun truck, saw it in a forgotten few mission and was blown away
All 3 maps are great, but Cam Lao Nam is hands down the best. The map provides areas from Cambodia and Laos to make up the Ho Chi Minh trail. It has the Saigon Embassy, multiple airstrips, those tall rock mountain island things, and tunnel systems that can be added via module in the editor.
All the content is great and you can tell so much research and attention was put into every asset.
I've heard great things about Mike Force, and I am going to try it one day.
Lots of missions for co-op / singleplayer (with SOG AI). Great times trying to plant sabotaged weapons while being shot up by platoons of VC and being tracked by them aswell.
The bad:
Performance on Cam Lao Nam can be lacking, especially if you are hosting. Mainly when there is a lot of assets and or AI in one area. Laggiest places tend to be Saigon and dense jungle.
The end:
SOG is worth its price and even more so when its on sale. Many people complain about it being almost the cost of Arma 3, but the amount of stuff in it could be its own game, all in one game so SOG vietnam stuff can be used with other assets from Arma 3 or mods.
