A Way Out Review (Miss Luny|pc fcked. not here :/)
Overview / Story
A Way Out is a pure co-op focused narrative story adventure game about two convicts making an unexpected friendship to escape prison and get their revenge on their common enemy.
While I won’t say more about the narrative, I just want to mention that it is incredible from start to finish. They way the Leo and Vincent are bounding with each other, the way their characters evolve and the way the devs managed to transport emotions is top tier. Just a fantastic experience from the first minute to the last.
Gameplay
I’d mostly describe it as your classic action-adventure style gameplay. You explore the levels and make your way through the, climb structures, find objects, hide and run from the police. What is really the standout feature are the countless little details and interactions you can do in each area. For an example early on, you enter a farmhouse, and beside the mission objective you can also play music with your co-op partner, wash dishes, turn on the fireplace and tv and even more things. It’s wild how many activities there in each level. You can also talk to every NPC and they often got different responses based on who speaks to them.
Features/TL;DR
-5 to 8h campaign depending on how you play
-fantastic story
-multiple endings
-tons and tons of side activity
-Great controls and co-op interactions
-Supports Remote Play Togteher
Final Thoughts
A Way Out is together with It Takes Two one of the best co-op experiences out there. And I can only recommend grabbing a good friend and play through the game with them.
