Z1: Battle Royale Review (Shaggy)
Im really late in doing this. But I finally have to do it. Its been personal. For years now.
While H1Z1 was once the powerhorse of Zombie Survival (DayZ Mod was outdated and the standalone still garbage), with a really good map, nice balancing, a great community, and innovative ideas, Z1 is a game noone ever really needed. lets face it: pubg did it better from the beginning and COD took it to another level. Its never been an outstanding Battle Royal like H1Z1 has been as a Survival Game. But apperently, u can make way more money with a Battle Royal Shooter! Or at least the devs thought this way. First riding the upcoming survival wave, then, jumping right to the next wave to take on the next trend, Battle Royal. The first Battle Royal Game Mode was pretty okay. That was it. Me and my squad would do a round or two after getting killed in the MAIN game, just to return there right after. And you know what? H1Z1 was great. I loved it. My Squad loved it. It was hella fun. It wasnt perfect, but it could have been near perfection with ongoing work from the devs.
And Im still pissed it had to die for this. They could have made two games. But no. One gamemode had to die apprerently. And it was the wrong one.
Some say: "Dont cry because its over, smile because it happened." I neither cry nor smile. Im angry. Angry whenever I see this "game" in my Library and what the Devs did to the community.
