Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection Review (Bufoncio)
PROS:
- new translations and translated booklets
- online is cool i guess, but it is held by duct tape.
CONS:
- most of those games are not fun to play and they didn't re-balanced the games, some easy mods could have helped a lot to reduce grind or obtain locked cards.
- unobtainable cards behind locked features unless you gameshark the whole save file.
- empty pages on booklets
- for early days, there are missing games, like the very first one, breed and battle
- because it falls into the "GX" umbrella, they didn't include the best gba games from 2006.
- they included DM5 expert 1 AND the old localization, problem is, a translated expert 5 would have been cool as it has the original OCG packs, you know, to feel like you are playing in the early days...
all in all, i just bought to support the cause of translating old games and master duel gives enough free content that i can waste my money on this product, but i cannot recommend it to people that never grew up with those games to buy this overpriced folder of roms with gameshark codes in them unless there is a serious discount, all of these games are very rough around the edges.
i doubt they will rework any of those games but lets hope that the next collection has a little more care put into it, to be what it should be, the definitive way of enjoying those games.
also konami, if you are reading this, please make a new dice monsters game. thank you.
