I have played this game numerous times prior to the steam release via vgperson’s website, and even before the release of Ch3-1. I did the math, I have around 200 hours spent playing and watching playthroughs of the game. Possibly more, but that I cannot calculate. Besides the point, I love this game. I think it’s one of the best in its genre. The story is so compelling, and the characters are some of the best written I’ve seen. Each has such a unique personalities and ideals; they feel so human. I find myself hating and loving them for the same reasons. Not just that, but these characters make me FEEL. It’s unlike any indie game I’ve ever played. Not just that, the game portrays death in a real and painful way. The characters don’t just witness a brutal death and press on regardless, they take time to compose themselves and to work through their trauma together. It’s a truly a masterful game, and the portrayal of trauma is gripping in a way unlike any other game I’ve played. I also believe this game has some of the most enriched and thorough story ever. The game’s incompletion allows for the fanbase to theory craft and it’s honestly a lot of fun. I have some of my own personal theories, even some that I’ve seen come to fruition after the release of 3-1. Besides the point, 10/10 game, would recommend if you enjoy games of this genre. It does handle very serious and possibly triggering topics though. Despite that, I would say this game is the best rendition of the “death-game” type of games that have been appearing as of late. Your Turn to Die – Death Game by Majority – will always hold a near and dear place in my heart.
