XCOM 2: Anarchy's Children Review (servvsumbrarum)
*Received as part of the X-COM Bundle*
Greetings Again! The last part of the Reinforcement pack, ‘Anarchy’s Children’ is perhaps the most concerning. It is the dreaded ‘cosmetic DLC,’ you’ll find no new gameplay, mechanics or story here just pretty outfits for your soldiers to don. With that said I do like dressing up my soldiers for their nights of Xeno Purging so how bad could it be? Let’s discuss!
Shiny and Chrome: Not much to say here; you get a lot of Mad Max style cosmetic pieces to customize your force. I’m not going to say it was actively a bad addition but it was a bit disappointing, especially at higher tier equipment as most of the T3 armor appears to be paint jobs. The options are high quality and definitely different than the main scheme but really just left me wanting more options.
Overall, I’d pass on this one and I can’t even recommend it. But you’ll grab it as part of the bundle so I wouldn’t fret too much. Just don’t expect much and realize you’re supporting a potential future X-COM. Enjoy!
