XCOM 2: Alien Hunters Review (Irritant)
If you thought there wasn't enough BS with enemies getting free moves during your turn in the regular game, then this is for you. You now have enemies with 100 HP (I kid you not) that get SIX moves (I kid you not - in fact sometimes they get more) in the middle of your turn. The good (?) news is that some of them are so stupid they get stuck in corners and basically become punching bags.
It's beyond me how any game designer could possibly think this constitutes good gameplay. Or how anyone who thinks this is good gameplay can be a paid game designer. "We don't have a clue how to code competent AI, let's just make it as cheaty as possible and pretend this is a tactical challenge."
They probably considered letting enemies move in real time while the player is still stuck with turn-based and just didn't know how to code that. Then they considered having a message pop up randomly that said "we rolled some dice and you lose, try again and be luckier next time" but decided that was too honest.
As if the actual "gameplay" added by the DLC wasn't bad enough, when you finally kill the overpowered HP sponges, they drop items that are so unbalanced they ruin the rest of the game (you're not forced to use them, of course, but most players will, because they assume they're supposed to).
Do yourself a favour and disable this ASAP.
