Wobbly Life Review (Jemela_Jones)
I'm a 40 y/o female who plays this with my 10 y/o nephew and 6 y/o nephew. Both of the kids heard about this game through their favorite youtuber.
In complete honesty, I find this game extremely underwhelming. It's a mixture of an MMO/GTA for kids, but it feels rather hollow. You buy a house - where you seem to do nothing but sleep and knock over furniture, you get a pet - who only follows you around, and can't get into vehicles, while the mini-games are either just slightly too difficult (especially for someone as young as 6) or pay next to nothing, so you end up farming the same easier ones over and over. Also you can't share money between people unless the other player is there to pick it up right when it is earned, which is a real negative for playing with kids to help them.
My nephew does still seem to like this game, but I think he's going to get tired of it pretty soon, I also keep googling "what is the point of Wobbly life" because while I can see the potential for appeal, I feel like the game is still a significant way from balanced and/or truly engaging.
From what I can tell so far, the point of Wobbly Life is to earn in-game money and spend it.
You can drive around and explore, and as mentioned there are the mini-games, but overall the game simply feels empty and hollow. I don't truly see what would keep people coming back on an engagement level beyond that their kids want to play and it's a good one to put into a rotation with minecraft, stardew valley, and roblox in terms of accessibility and simplicity for kids.
I don't want to recommend or not recommend this game, it simply is at this point.
