Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty - Conqueror of Jiangdong Review (Fennrix)
The good:
- Levels are longer and less reused assets
- New weapon is a ton of fun
- New difficulty and new mode are cool for people liking the grind
The bad:
- Only like 3 new enemies that don't really stand out, otherwise the areas are filled with enemies you faught like a million times by now
- Still no new lightweight armor, only bulky heavy sets
- Story stills feels weirdly placed and during the missions there is literally no story happening
The very bad:
- The bosses...oh boy, theses abominations of design could fill a whole chapter alone, but I want to keep it short:You won't find any fair and balanced fights nor engaging and fun fights. Every boss is completely overtuned with stupid never ending combos, lighting fast attacks, tons of health and defense, jumping around like crazy, almost no openings, super weird parry timings and spamming ranged projectiles. The bosses are literally the worst in the game and are no fun at all. After beating them I felt nothing but relief that they are over. Only to realise that they are even more overtuned in the side missions, because the devs couldn't come up with any original content so instead they just reuse the two main bosses but crank up the artificial difficulty again by giving every boss hyper armor, more health and even less openings, because that's what players want, right? RIGHT!
In summary:
If you did not like the first DLC: Don't buy this one, it is the same stupid stuff, but with slightly better stages
