Wartales: The Pits Review (Arctuhris)
I actually really like (almost) all of the content in this DLC, but it is a joke compared to Pirates of Belerion, which was an actual DLC expansion.
"The Pitts" should have cost $5 dollars, or been included for free in an actual expansion DLC with a new region, new levels, new factions, new craftable armor, and new backpack Items (for crying out loud, we have 200 belt items, 20 really good ones, and 3-4 actually useful backpack items. The next time you're going to add cool knew belt tiems, Devs, stop, and make them backpack items instead so we can actually put something in that useless item slot).
I absolutely love Wartales, and I really wanted to fight in the new arenas, but even getting it on sale, I feel like I was ripped off. It's just not enough content for the price being asked.
Again, I actually think the quality of this dlc is pretty good, but there just isn't enough there to justify the price tag. There's lots of new mechanics that will hopefully appear in future expansions, but paying for mechanics I'm going to play against in 10 fights and never see again, feels bad.
If this is the future of DLC for this game, I am going to very, very sadly have to say goodbye to Wartales.
