Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Review (Oldie Wan)
Not looking to give this game a bad review to hurt the rating. I did end up removing the game from my favorites and put it on the back burner. Just really is not my cup of tea when it comes to Warhammer games. I was mislead by some of the glowing reviews that claimed the game had real depth to the combat in the way it feels. To me it just doesn't seem to feel like that great of a game. Maybe I was expecting something else.
This game did teach me that I really should watch others playing this game before making a purchase. It was only 5$ when I did buy it. So I can't complain.
I would have not been very happy if I paid full price for a game like this. The game leaves very little room for new comers. As when you play live with other players they expect you to be a pro and know what is going on.
Every team I played with ended up yelling and screaming at me.
When I told them I was new, the whole team would just drop out leaving me alone.
I get it, no one wants to lose or play with a newbie. We all start somewhere. So the community seemed to be short on wanting to teach others what should be done and how to do it. Non of my friends play this game, so I didn't have the chance to run with people who learned with me.
The game might do well in ranking system that puts new players with other new players, while keeping the vets in their own realm. 98% of the vets I played with either got upset that I didn't know what was going on and didn't want to take the time to explain. You should have watched the video first they screamed! Why did you come here as a newbie?
I am the kind of person who likes to learn by experience, not watching other people do it for me.
Takes away the fun. So the fun was robbed from me in this experience.
So I put it on the bottom of my list and most likely will never play it again.
