Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters: Duty Eternal Review (VoxVenatu tv)
The dlcs were not done very well. First off, we want to be able to bring a dreadnought a lot more often. Balance it around that. Something simple. IFF bring dreadnought, then spawn X Y Z per patrol, increase enemy health by X etc. I don't even know if any of the stratagems even work for the assassins. "They arent knights" ok the emperor is so weak he cant buff his other children? Just dumb. Oh but they work for the tech marine? so theres that.
Using the Charge ability can break the game because they restricted the movement of it, and charge can get you into places you shouldn't be. They did no work to defend against or correct it. Gotta alt f4 the game. Currently writing this review because it happened. I've only got to use the dread in like 3 missions now, pretty restrictive.
Also just not a fan of the techmarine. We get a whole 4 party slots. The starting classes in this game are actually all quite strong. Then they give you the 4 advanced classes soon after. Makes the game SO HARD to choose which ones to use. If you also own the assassins, FUCK it gets hard to choose who to bring/level/focus on.
I play the game well enough that I can basically always use my A team, and slowly level up one mooch while 2-3 carry me through. Which means I never really get to play the other classes because the requisitions are already way to spare. I have gone quite far in many campaigns (and I max the grandmaster reports very quickly, they get to tier 5 asap.) And yet I struggle to gear anyone because I can't get decent drop choices. Haven't gotten a single narcethium choice - yes i could abandon my mission priorities to specifically target a mission that will drop a narcethium. But that could endanger the balance act of keeping the corruption levels low, and getting servitors, avoiding missions I can't do well (That shitty "defend the servitors mission", UGH), and especially doing missions that provide the best Bonus objectives that are doable and give big reward. The last thing I can be doing is ignoring all that to choose a bad mission because it might give me a useful item choice.
