Wanted: Dead İnceleme (Arcturus Fracture)

(Ignore my playtime for this game as Steam did not record my playtime offline.)
I had a ridiculously fun time with this game; the combat was refreshing as I alternated between third-person shooter and hack-and-slash. The inherent charm that came from this game for me was that the game didn't take itself seriously.
I would go from a gritty cinematic to playing a rhythm game and singing karaoke.
Story (Spoilers)
War criminals turned cops work to quell an uprising caused by a labor force of human-looking robots gone rogue.
(I wish they had done more with this story line, instead of getting bogged down with the common cliches of if robots had souls and what differentiates a person from a machine, the corporation was evil all along, etc.)
However, it wasn't the story that made this game for me but rather the characters that populated it.
Despite the voice acting each character adds an interesting dynamic to the team which makes for great scenes.
Combat
Having a hard time making the perfect parry during a sword fight?
It's nothing your assault rifle and a pack of incendiary grenades can't fix.
All encounters, except for one boss fight, can be approached as a third-person shooter or hack-and-slash game.
Find the approach that you enjoy the most and level up that skill tree, it's as simple as that.
I went into this game optimizing my rifle and combat skills for faster more fluid game play.

The only two bad spots for me when playing this game for me were the godawful Ramen eating rhythm game and the final boss fight.
The Ramen Rhythm game:
The Ramen eating rhythm game is an unskippable mini game that does everything wrong you could do with a rhythm game. The visual was boring, the music used was the equivalent of what you'd hear in an elevator, and the game play was irritating due to button commands and no discernible rhythmic beat. What astounded me was that the Karaoke mini game was so well done and enjoyable that I got immediate whiplash.
The Final Boss Fight (Spoilers):
Let me put this simply the boss fight was the equivalent of rubbing sandpaper between you're palms. It's mildly annoying at first until it becomes an unbearably painful experience. Everything I loved about the games combat was immediately forsaken and opted for you to parry each attack perfectly in an uneven sword fight. The boss does not take damage from your grenades or guns, so the only option is to attack him with your sword.
In most cases, this would be fine except that he can begin his player-killing combo at any time reducing your health in mere moments if you haven't been parrying his strikes. If that wasn't bad enough at his final stages he will run off to heal himself and you have to attack him with your sword to stop him from undoing all of your progress. During those moments it was equally frustrating because you needed to hit him once and constantly dodge before he immediately begins his combo.
Honestly, I wish the boss fight on the rooftop had been the final boss fight, it was my favorite fight combining both gunplay and swordplay. The fight pushes the player to think outside the box for how best to uncover the location of the invisible assassin before they appeared for a lethal blow.
Conclusion
In conclusion, despite those two rough patches, the game was a wildly enjoyable ride with characters I couldn't help but enjoy. The combat was a refreshing change of pace due to its combination of third-person shooter and hack-and-slash. So, pick up this game if the goofy dialogue or the combat looks interesting to you. I will return to this game soon to try out the game's combat at higher difficulty levels.
