Volcano Princess Review (DudeStar)

Volcano Princess – A Father's Love, A Daughter's Destiny
If there’s ever been a game that left me both fulfilled and quietly shattered, it’s Volcano Princess. On the surface, the mechanics seem simple: raise your daughter in a fantasy kingdom, guide her growth, make decisions on her schedule, her studies, her friends. But, don’t be fooled! The game unfolds into a beautifully intricate life sim with choices that echo far beyond their moment.
Every stat you raise, every friendship you nurture, every holiday you share… It all builds toward something meaningful. You’re not just shaping a character, you’re raising a person. And the depth of this simulation means that no two daughters will ever truly be the same. She could become a brave knight, a brilliant scholar, a mischievous bard, or even something darker. But the game never punishes you for how she turns out. That’s the beauty of it: whatever your daughter becomes, it feels real and you love her just the same.
The story is nothing short of perfect. There are hidden depths, branching paths, and secret endings that reward curiosity and empathy. The supporting characters are written with care, each of them plays a small but significant part in your daughter’s journey. The festival scenes, the rivalries, the bonds she builds… all lead to one of many emotional conclusions. I remember one ending where she left to pursue her dreams far away, and I watched her go with pride and tears. Another, she stayed and grew into a leader of the kingdom. Each ending felt earned. And each one broke me a little.
I love this game so much. Truly. It’s a love letter to the idea of parenting, of watching someone grow and change and struggle and succeed. I spent hours thinking about her decisions, worrying if I did enough, if she was happy. And even when she stumbled, I was proud of her. That love is unconditional.
Score: 10/10
I always miss my virtual daughter. And I probably always will.
