Viscera Cleanup Detail: Shadow Warrior Review (Kate27)

Reviewing (mostly) every game (or DLC) in my library, part 51:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆☆ (7/10 stars)
You’ve played Shadow Warrior and asked, “Wow, who cleans up all this blood and body parts?” Well … now you know. It’s you.
This is a smaller crossover level rather than a full DLC, bundling the chaos of Shadow Warrior with the janitorial misery of VCD. It’s fast, messy, and filled with entrails—and if you’ve played the source game, it’s even funnier in context. If you like VCD and Shadow Warrior, this is a no-brainer. If not, you’re not missing much.
🧹 Pros:

Perfect theming. Feels exactly like you’ve walked into the aftermath of one of Lo Wang’s rampages. The katana damage, the explosions, the absurdity—it’s all here.
Unique location. A detailed and stylish dojo environment, complete with lanterns, sliding doors, and weapon racks. Visually distinct from the usual sci-fi messes.
Quick and punchy. One level, compact and satisfying. Great for a short session if you don’t want to commit to a 3-hour mop-a-thon.
Some cool lore tie-ins. If you're a Shadow Warrior fan, you’ll get a few laughs from the notes and details lying around.

🪦 Cons:

Very short. It’s just one level, and while it’s well-made, you’ll be done in about two hours unless you’re going for 100%.
No new mechanics. No shark pits, no new tools—this is classic VCD gameplay. Still satisfying, but nothing you haven’t already done.
Can feel like a novelty. Without familiarity with Shadow Warrior, the setting might not land as hard or feel all that different from the base game.
