Vendetta Forever Review (J3ubble)
Played a tooon of this natively on the Quest 3 with QGO, however running it through Virtual Desktop makes the experience so much smoother! For reference, in order to get it to 110 hz smoothly natively on Quest 3, I could not bump the resolution at all.
As for the gameplay, this game quickly cemented itself as the ADHD'ers speed running version of Super Hot. Rather then trying to move slowly through each level, you grab, throw, and shoot as quickly as you can to dash through levels built from scenes from your favorite movies. Apparently the dev's are Keanu fans!
Enemies spawn in the same locations but carry different guns, so although you know where to shoot on successive play throughs each run has some randomness. Messing with the modifiers and difficulty settings lets you fine tune your sweet spot. The leader boards could be more fleshed out but still make it quite fun to climb the rankings.
Now for the gripes, since it is now a PC port I would have loved to see more graphical customization options, such as resolution and quality settings. There appears to be a decent amount of pixelation even on GODLIKE. Using the Quest 3 controllers the guns seem to aim a bit lower then I would expect as well and when changing the vertical shift in game the models are not updated to reflect this (making iron sights useless and things feel off).
Overall though this joins the pantheon of fantastic VR shooting games like Pistol Whip and Audica. The port could have more options but when the base gameplay is this great I still give a huge thumbs up!
