Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania Review (Shred VII)
No, seriously, how is this only four bucks?!?
Nevermind the fact that this DLC contains a level that is both the biggest and the most intricately deep in the entire history of Vampire Survivors if not the entire genre.
Nevermind the stupidly huge list of new remixes from artists both new and returning, including frickin' KEYGEN CHURCH.
Nevermind the fact Vampire Survivors finally has a vampire in it.
You see the plus symbols that this DLC's marketing uses when describing how much new content is in this DLC?
Yeah, those plus symbols are doing the heaviest lifting you've ever seen. Even Atlas never lifted anything as heavy, and he carried the entire Earth on his shoulders.
It is no exaggeration to claim that this DLC contains an entire sequel's worth of content — it's probably not a coincidence that this DLC launched alongside an update for the base game that lets you disable all of the base game's and/or other DLC's active weapons.
There is very easily dozens upon dozens of hours of genuinely high-quality entertainment to be derived from this DLC — possibly well over a hundred hours if you're into 100% completion.
All of this for four bucks. All of this for less than the cost of a single character skin in more games than I can count.
God bless Poncle.
