Universe For Sale Review (Car)
Typically I am not a fan of games like this. However, I confident in saying that you all knocked it out of the park. I have already plugged away 5.3 hours and I have to say that I am addicted!
I adore the art style the animation is sick, every character so far is very distinct and has individualize characteristics that really make them stand out, I love that when I am walking it feels like I am actually moving not just a solid state image (feels like there is motion). Additionally, everything is always in motion even when not furthering the dialogue adds life to the environment, and I love the interaction with the small image when Lila is explaining her job, great use of animation to expand upon the dialogue, actual animations to the movement of the "universe creation". When Master and Lila are at the restaurant and they are eating the ramen I love that you have the character dialogue model and the model at the bar are in sync and the character dialogue model changes when she lifts up her noodles. The music is setting the tone for what kind of game this, Ambient sound is also nicely done and the bolded words for emphasis are all great touches.
However, there were some that I wrote down that were potential cons or points of possible improvement. Most are just minor things but others I feel are imperative towards playing the game. (note I was in a call with friend playing the game so some parts I could have completely and totally missed when they explained something)
1. when the title card appears I wish that the "for" was a little separated from the rest. It just seemed a little to close to the Sale portion of the title so it seemed a little off.
2. For the bishop guy (the one that tries to arrest us) I feel need more animation to a state of panic when we shoot his robot companion, as him standing still and upright during that interaction does not necessarily make sense
3. When fixing the blade make it more obvious where I am suppose to return the lever so that the blade works again, I may have the dialogue that stated where it needs to go, but as a result I did get stuck on that for a couple minutes
4. There does seem to be a bug when you exit and re-enter the mechanics shop, as when I did so the game would not let me interact with anything
5. When discussing switching the power back to Tomoto's shop maybe make mention of how many different boxes of power that they need to switch to give the battery man his power back
Overall, it is an amazing game I am am enjoying playing it ^^, cannot wait to see what else you release in the future!
