Twilight Path Review (Razzmatazz)
THE GOOD: It's gorgeous. There's a sense of scale and grand adventure like not many games manage to convey. I watched some of the scenes mouth agape. You don't get to know the characters very much, but they're cool, well designed and full of whimsy. They seem to be heavily inspired by Ghibli (one of the main characters is directly lifted from Howl's Moving Castle), and possibly the Baron Munchausen and Wizard of Oz movies and honestly those are not bad inspirations to have.
THE NOT SO GOOD: The graphics lack contrast and there are no options to correct that, which is a shame because it does take away somewhat from the beauty of the settings. Hand presence is a bit awkward. It very much seems like it was designed for the PSVR wands and not enough effort was put into making it work better with the Oculus Touch (don't know about other devices). It's also a bit on the short side, it feels like the prologue to a great story and one can only hope that it will get continued, though to be real that doesn't seem to happen very often. I'm not all that bothered though, at this stage in VR, if I have to choose I prefer quality over length, especially if it's this good.
