Twelve Minutes Review (exoticraven)

I would recommend, but strap yourself in for annoyance at this game.
We need to be able to skip more dialogue/actions in an easier way please! That is where all the play time comes in...oh whoops, I forgot one minute detail?!? Or oh what does this do? Time to replay the whole goddamn thing again. I know time loops are supposed to be annoying... but I feel in game play we need a bit of leeway. Sometimes I would just stab myself to get the loop done with and because it helped me with my frustrations /s. There is no clear objective for this game other than getting out of the time loop, there is no guidance...you just have to guess. I got to a point after 4 hours where I was done with that shit and looked up hints on what to do next - then was able to finish by guessing the rest myself with that bit of help. I wish there was an option to toggle hints on!
But during the game for the first 3-4 hours, you're definitely focused on it. Everything is interesting and you feel like an investigator! Which was lots of fun. I also love the way this game was from a bird's eye view, that is what drew me to it in the first place... because it looked unique. I appreciate that about that game. I think it is great that in the ways little actions can be frustrating, they also show a great attention to detail. Actions have consequences and impact others eg. don't piss off your wife., so that was really well done! There were little moments with the characters as well through dialogue that were very sweet, many people say the dialogue was disjointed... but I didn't find that to be much of a problem. I loved that there were so many new dialogues all the time...a character would say something new even 6 hours in and I'm like "tf did you just say?!"
Hopefully you enjoy the game!
