Turbo Overkill Review (Welkrow)

I recommand the game but in my opinion, after a first run in serve me pain difficulty, i have to admit that it's more mixed than most of those other frantic shooter for one reason.
Bullshit one shot.
I usually play those kind of game in last or second to last difficulty and never before have i been One shoted so many time by something that i couldn't see coming like a volley of homing rocket coming from behind with no visual or audio cue whatsoever. And it's just frustrating.
On other game like that, Doom eternal being the most obvious, it's not to that point. Big ennemies can os yes, but not any trash mob. The game lacks indication of whats happening on screen. It really isn't clear enough to me.
For a sequel, they have to work on that. And the balancing of the weapons. Maybe it's just me but the Uzis, plasma rifle and Chaingun havnt been used much in the game. Waster / boomer / Magnum / telefrag and the orbital laser were pretty much all i used. Because of the ennemy one shot. Without much healing capabilities, the safest bet is to one shot the ennemy faster than he one shot you, so DPS kind of weapon have been a no go.
All of that (and the ennemy being a bit too bullet spongy but it has been mentionned a lot already) makes the game not as enjoyable as it could be with a bit of polish on those aspect.
Despite all of that, the game is damn great when given he opportunity to shine, in big open area where your mobility can be used fully. I hope their next game will be just as good.
