TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 Review (LordOfNomNom)
An absolutely amazing bike game when it comes to the physics and the “feel” of the bike. The Isle of Man track is just as wonderful as in previous titles. The Ai is fun to race against and actually try to avoid ram in to you (unlike that other bike game *cough *cough Milestone)
So far so good! If that is what you are mostly interested in this is a buy!
However if you want a deep career mode, if you want to customise your rider and your bike. Well you are out of luck. The career mode is nonexistent other then you ride around the island unlocking random races, gets point to improve your bike. There is not atmosphere around the game, you don’t feel like you are part of the greatest race there ever been. That’s kind of it. So if that is important to you then I would not recommend the game.
The load time when restarting an event are sometimes a bit to long, other time it restarts almost immediately.
But at its core this is an amazing bike game, the feel of the bike is one of the best if not the best on the market right now. So based on that I will give this game a positive review, but if there ever is a TT 4 and there is no big improvement in the career mode i probably won’t recommend it.
