Tron: Identity Review (Nytehaven)

As a huge fan of the Tron universe I have to say that playing this game through has left me empty, seeking more. It's OK in that is has a decently compelling story and a very small handful of characters but it just doesn't involve the player as much as I'd have wanted it to. The Grid is a HUGE place yet this story takes place in a very confined environment. I only hope that future content for this can be made provided the developers feel the need if other people are of the same mind.
I would not recommend this game base solely on the content you get for the price. There just isn't enough in it to be worth US$15. This is reminiscent of a US$10 or less.
The lowdown:
Graphics - OK to decently good. I wouldn't call them great by any stretch but it does a good attempt on capturing that Grid feel.
Sound - Lacking. There's only a small handful of foley effects to be heard. There could have been more added in.
Music - Disappointing. It has that same digital/electronic feel that Tron: Legacy had but it gets VERY repetitive and annoying after hearing it a few dozen times. I would actually turn the music OFF after you've heard all of the tracks.
Gameplay - OK. This is a "make your own adventure" sort of game where different decisions affect outcomes different ways. The plentiful choices make for fairly good conclusions.
Vocals - N/A. It is purely text driven. Lots of reading so if you like to read then this is for you. If you don't like to read and would rather have voices then this is not for you.
Challenge - Annoying. The "Defrag" sequences where you have multiple card, suits, and twists can take FOREVER but once you get them down it's annoyingly easy.
As with many other of the Disney IPs, this is extremely disappointing and is NOT worthy of the Tron name or franchise.
