Trombone Champ Review (Wandering Cavalry)
7.5/10
In a way, I'm afraid Trombone Champ is a very controversial topic-level rhythm game. This unique game is known to many for its ridiculous Trombone playing effects, and I'd like to talk about the gameplay of the game, leaving aside the various memes that the public is talking about.
The game's main story is told in the Dark Souls narrative, using the trombone to play a variety of famous tunes and obtain various resources to advance the game. The game itself does not set a variety of difficult songs, but will not be forced to end the game because of too many notes missing, which for players unfamiliar with rhythm games may be good news. The game as a whole is full of funny and grotesque game atmosphere, players can enjoy the absurd and unique versions of various household songs played by trombone.
Of course, Trombone Champ is not without its drawbacks in terms of gameplay. The game itself has a strange judgment mechanism that makes it difficult for even players with more experience playing rhythm games to get used to quickly, and the hidden nature of the main story plot makes it largely difficult for players to develop the game's plot without searching for a guide. The flow of the game is not long, just about 4-5 hours players will be able to complete all the content of the game. In addition, this absurd style of playing is bound to be inadmissible for some serious Trombone players and elegant music lovers.
In general, most players probably came to memes before they thought to try this game. For other players who are simply interested in the game, I think it might be worth a try if you can accept the game's short play time and shortcomings and are a very tolerant player of all styles of music.
