Triggerheart Exelica Review (Whimsical)
My first time trying out the whole game, after having played the demo in the X360 back in the day. I have to say I really love this game, the swing mechanic is really well implemented and having to score well to get more boss patterns and extra bosses is amazing. The visuals are pretty good too, I love this era of Dreamcast graphics, they are always pretty sharp and clean looking, and the art for the girls is pretty good too, pretty sure it is why I remember this game so fondly, with this anime art style of the early 2000s. The music is also one of the best parts too, it is just very energetic and fun to listen.
The only negative I have so far is that the game is quite barebones in terms of content, so $30 might sound a bit expensive. For me I don't mind it too much, the core gameplay is just really fun on it's own, and now that a port is finally available in steam without any issues or input lag is good enough for me. (Though I hope there is a DLC adding more content to the game.)
