Tribe: Primitive Builder Review (blindEmu)
Recommended for relaxed gameplay, although the game actions are very repetitive.
First of all: The game is good and gives the player a nice gaming experience. I played the game twice - one time out of interest and one time for the Steam-Achievements. 😊
Good things:
The gameplay is relaxed, the graphics are appropriate for 2023/2024. There's a nice Storyline, you are given tasks and can follow them. The setup on the island is basically beautiful. Movement is fluid, the building system is very well implemented. You learn the game mechanics very quickly at the beginning. All in all, this is a very good game for 10 to 30 hours of gameplay (depending on the type of game). 👍
Criticism:
A lot of potential was wasted, the game seems somehow unfinished. The idea is great and you realize that in the first few hours of gameplay. But after a certain point, the content becomes too repetitive.
The missions are: “Go there and talk to this person. Then run over there and talk to that person.” Then you build the same buildings again and occasionally a special building to get to the next biome. These special buildings require vast amounts of building materials, which you ideally have available through automated processes. The automation-system is a good thing. Acquiring new tribe members is very boring. The world (outside of the construction areas and points of interest) is very dull - there is nothing to discover. There's no need to explore or to hunt animals. And why is the map so large, but only half of it is accessible? Also a sign of unfinished work. It some moments the game feels like a running-simulator in an empty world. 👎
Conclusion:
I had a lot of fun with the game. As already mentioned, a lot of potential was unfortunately wasted. The game is very lengthy and I can understand the players who don't play to the end. This could be solved with updates, but nothing seems to be coming. For a few hours of fun, the game gets my recommendation. Nevertheless, I expected more. Was the development canceled? Can we expect more? Questions upon questions. 🤔
