Total War: Attila - Slavic Nations Culture Pack Review (Antonius Palatinus)
Time to show Attila some cheeki breeki
Also my ruler's name is Vlad and i've just annexed Crimea
On a serious note though:
Don't buy this dlc if you're not ready for some insane challenge, because it awaits you if you're planning to play as Slavs. I'm a veteran of Attila, won campaign as WRE on hard without losing a single settlement. But i tried to play Sclavenians campaign and just ended up frustrated. I'll explain why:
1. Recolonisation is a really bad idea, you will end up with overstretched provinces with -30 public order(-17 for immigrants ffs!) and 500 florins income. Thats all because you have to wait until it grows to be able to build public order, religion and military buildings, and it takes too much time, about 40 turns i think.
2. Which means that you will not be able to protect your province from raiding, civil wars or whatever because you will only be able to afford 1 good army stack, and since province is huge and raided from all sides...
3. Huns will go nowhere. They declared peace with ERE and focused on me on turn 10. You'll have to fight them alone. And you can't even build large onager.
4. Units are extremely weak, almost no armor up to the top, casualties will be tremendous with each battle, even with huge bonuses from Horned is the Hunter. Poison arrows are better then no arrows, but it still takes forever to kill op hunnic horse archers, they will cut down your naked idiots army indeed.
Overall, i think that i shall try some extreme playstile, like converting to horde or capturing some southern provinces(which is hard cause your units are so weak and have bonuses only vs nomads).
