To the Rescue! Review (Mereni)

This game, I would've recommended to people as it launched, in fat I have actually to several friends and only one person bought it and had a similar experience to mine. The game play starts off as cute and adorable where you rescue a lost puppy which eventually becomes an animal shelter. And your goal to beat the game is over a certain timeline and met goals. It starts off fun, but like most other simulators about shelters, it's repetitive. The only difference with this one is that, this game gets less updates to the point where I would consider this game, the end product, and a pretty terrible one at that.
The bugs, oh the bugs. Between losing saves because you cannot save at the end of the day, to restarting the very beginning over again because of a glitch where the mayor cannot talk. It's just like a gamble to see how far you'll get. Dogs get stuck in walls, pens were mislabeled, items would be stuck on you, lost or inaccessible. And the assistants, you'd find better help from a lamppost. They were broken, walked it circles, got stuck in a corner. It is not worth to hire them and limit your dog count. They had to patch out so many bugs when first released, it makes you question why this wasn't put on hold further. People want finished games, not ones that need to be patched every other hour.
The game play, repetitive once the game is completed. It's basically an endless run mode and some animals will never get adopted, others, vanish, and most do get adopted. The options between making it a shelter that's a k!ll shelter or one that send's dogs away seemingly has no impact on the game play itself besides s bit of negative reactions that can be easily fixed within the same day. There isn't too much of customization between choosing a few select wallpapers and pens and sometimes those aren't even permanent.
The music is repetitive as well, if you see a running theme here. And it's usually best to either mute the game, or mute the music. It will get on your nerves after awhile.
The events, when not broken, aren't too impactful, you can go to a place to increase more visitors and sometimes at most you'd get is 5.
The UI, ngl it's pretty nice, simple, and cute.
Overall, I would not recommend this game even if it's on sale. You can watch someone play it and it will fufill that need. Save your $20, donate it to an actual shelter, or go get some expensive food. IF the developers do come back with announcements, game play fixes, updates, etc. I will re-evaluate my review, but as is. Do not buy this game! Or get your money back if you still can.
