Threefold Recital Review (Mawootad)
I have in a mixed feelings in a very weird way about this one. It is, on basically every level, very good. Fun characters, great art, cool worldbuilding, and an extremely well told and well executed story. If you're willing to play a game purely for the story I think it would be very hard to not enjoy this. At the same time though, I do wish the story was willing to take on some deeper themes than it did. I don't think the writers couldn't have done so, they definitely brush up against them and there's at least one really touching moment, but I think in the end it feels like the intent is to be broadly appealing and not challenging. Overall I'm very happy to have played this game and if the developers put out another game like this I would snap buy it, but I hope that if they do they push the boundaries a bit because they clearly have the talent to produce something truly exceptional instead of just very good.
