TheHunter: Call of the Wild - Yukon Valley Review (Dr. Just Some Homeless Guy)
This is, arguably, the best reserve in the entire game - and if you were to only get one DLC for it, this is still the one I would recommend.
There is a huge variety of landscapes that is (very organically) crammed into this reserve - from open grasslands to swamps to dense forests and rocky mountains, and with unique features like an active rail track (with trains running past on schedule) and an area scorched by a forest fire. All of that is further enhanced by the dynamic weather, where falling snow will actually cover and transform the entire map for whole periods, then melt and transform it back (a feature that seems unique to only this reserve in the game!)
The hunting is good, though definitely on the challenging side - the place is full of tough species (grizzly bears, moose, bison) and aggressive wolf packs. It is not a walk in the park like some of the other reserves. The main quest is lengthy and gives a solid tour of the map, with a bit of urgency and drama in a few places (though it's still not something you can fail). There are plenty of side quests as well.
So, for sheer variety and amount of things to explore, this map is still the best in the game.
