TheHunter: Call of the Wild - Wild Goose Chase Gear Review (Dr. Just Some Homeless Guy)
When this originally came out back in 2018, I wouldn't have given this a recommendation - geese were (and still are) one of the least exciting species to hunt in this game, and the 20 gauge shotguns had remarkably little utility outside that niche species.
But this has changed a lot since. With new reserves and new species, plus new mods for weapons - the 20 gauge shotguns are now among my favourite weapons. Revontuli Coast is chock full of bird species, and these are great tools for hunting them. Better yet, they are also outstanding for a whole range of small and medium game - lynx, boars, goats, etc. And the guns work very well with the recently-added cosmetic customization features.
The side-by-side Strecker shotgun is my favourite - in part because it allows for mounting the excellent Marksman Exakt reflex sight, the only shotgun in the game that you can use it on.
