TheHunter: Call of the Wild - Weapon Pack 1 Review (Raptor)
What do we get out of this pack?
- A bow without a crosshair
- A crossbow without a crosshair but it comes with an iron sight or a special scope
- A semi-automatic rifle good for wunting wabbits that makes a satisfying 'tick' sound when you shoot it. It sounds and shoots a lot like a pellet gun. 10 shots, ammo is pretty cheap (€ 200 for 10 rounds, if memory serves)
What are some of the characteristics?
The 22LR is great fun, you can quickly shoot multiple rabbits with it after some training. 100 meter effective range.
The bow has no crosshair as previously mentioned and it is extremely difficult to tell where it is going to land. It only has an effective range of 20m on top of that.
The crossbow is a bit easier to use due to its built-in iron sight and it even comes with a scope. Unfortunately, the scope seems bugged as the different zoom levels affect weapon drop! This combined with the 3-dot scope makes this a very awkward weapon to use. Ammo is expensive.
Although I'd recommend this DLC for the 22LR, I don' think the bow and crossbow are worth it when you just start out, seems like something you'd do when you get bored of everything else and want an additional challenge. It's too bad they didn't include the 22LR pistol with this pack instead, I feel like I'm not getting maximum value out of it because the weapons are so far apart skill-wise.
