TheHunter: Call of the Wild - Weapon Pack 1 Review (Chief Spreading Bull)

I honestly hate this pack because of how necessary it is. Without this Pack the only way for you to hunt Class 1 game is using Bird Shot with shotguns which are locked behind a Shotgun score gate to boot.
That said, the .22 LR is a very good ratting rifle. With the polymer bullets you can one accurately one shot all small game at 100 yards, which is very important since they are a skittish lot and will bolt long before you can close the distance to use the shotgun. Point of fact my first Gold was a turkey taken using this gun.
The Crossbow and Recurve are essentially difficulty adjustment gimmicks; The Crossbow makes stuff easier by giving you a flat trajectory and an unlimited draw though this is balanced by the fact that nothing in the Bow skill tree helps it all . The Recurve on the other hand makes things more challenging since you have no sight to aim with but in exchange it has an extremely rapid reload speed, ironically making it a good defensive weapon against aggressive game like Lions and Buffalo since you can pump out 100 Penetration shots into closing target faster than most handguns.
That said I honestly wish I bought the Mississippi Acres map instead. The Kullman .22H Rifle from that map is the only rifle in the game that covers Class 1-2, allowing me to drop a fourth gun since the Caplock covers 3-8 on its own, leaving plenty of space for a Tripod Stand without needing a backpack.
