TheHunter: Call of the Wild - Vurhonga Savanna Review (verneythehunter)
Writing in after 40+ hours on this map alone. I love it, it really gets the "look" of the Savanna spot in...with large, flat plains and deep riverine forests by the bordering river. The animal models are also very well done, which kills me because that is where vurhonga's potential really lies. WE NEED MORE SPECIES in this. Even if you had a reserve in real life whose intention was to have the included species only, eventually animals like steenbok, duiker, bushbuck, black-backed jackal, leopard, baboons, and vervet monkeys would creep in and make themselves at home. Thats not to mention the missed opportunity with the big five. The Dzonga area and the northern parts of Tingweni in particular are prime habitat for elephant and black rhino not to mention greater kudu. The grassland areas could use some burchells zebra, hartebeest (red or Tsessebe as they can be located in Southern Africa), and Sable? And wherever we have springbok, it would be criminal not to have impala too. Please COTW, add them in. Africa is known for having a wide variety of big game to shoot/view. Would be a pity to leave this map as is.
