TheHunter: Call of the Wild - Trophy Lodge Spring Creek Manor Review (GhostToosh)

I liked the lodge -- when it was working. I took a break from the game and came back to play a few months later and found I could not enter my lodge. I kept getting an error. After spending some time searching on the forum boards, I found that months ago - the devs basically created this issue and then told everyone if you couldn't get in, we're sorry - just start a new one? From what I understand, they restructured the game files for whatever reason (I don't know the full extent of it) and didn't bother telling you when you log into the game? So I have to find out through word of mouth. All the money and time I spent on building my lodge is basically gone. Should I bother to rebuild it? What if they do this again in the future? I don't trust the devs now to make a better decision on how to handle this. I like having 'building' aspects added to the game so I 100% want these to stay and work correctly. In fact, I'd love to be able to customize my lodge even more through design choices that could be unlocked in the game?

I think it would of been better handled if there was a patch notes at the game's log in that allows users to go and read older patch notes as well. This will feel like at least we're getting some communication and I don't have to go hunting for the answers. I'd also like a way to 'recycle' old lodges. That way if we get stuck from entering them because of a bug, we can at least limit the damage by pretending to sell it off and getting 50% of our money back or something to help towards new harvests. As of it stands right now, I feel like DLC is made, dropped and then just not supported whole heartily. They seem more focused getting out new DLC.

The lodge was my #1 objective. I was trying to fill it with everything under the sun. With it being borked, I feel like I lose some of the game's fun. Add this to the hunt club beta not working for months (another thing I had to find out by word of mouth since the game doesn't mention why it's down) - you basically take away the best game play parts for me.

Some people may not care about losing their lodge but a lot of what I had in my was tied some funny moments I had in the game. Now I just feel sour when I think about losing them. Data or not, I miss having them around.

With the amount of game breaking bugs I've been running into, I can't say I could recommend this game anymore. Too many issues to consider spending money on.
